My French teacher is at least 75 years old and she is incredibly uptight about everything. Every assignment MUST be done in BLUE ink, can't be black or pencil. We MUST skip lines when writing and we ONLY use the FRONT side of the page. I feel terrible because of all the paper I'm wasting.
On top of all this, she makes us memorize French poems and forces us to recite them as a monologue in front of the class. Normally, I'd be fine with this, but first off, it's in French, and secondly, she stares at you like a hawk, waiting for you to make a mistake to write on down on her clipboard of doom that decides your ultimate fate. Maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but it's just as terrifying. Oh, and did I mention that she's also my ENGLISH TEACHER?!
Let's move on to seagulls. Seagulls... Oh, how I despise seagulls... Seagulls, for those who don't live near a seagull infested area, are EVIL and VICIOUS! They will hunt down your mothers and fathers, and kidnap your brothers and sisters, and that's just what they do on weekends. Monday-Friday they try to murder hot, British actors. Anyway, the reason we're discussing seagulls is not only because my town is swarming with the vermin, but because of this picture:
Now, I came to realize something after seeing this picture. Remember the seagulls in Finding Nemo? They always said, "Mine." What if they were talking about the One Ring? What if this picture holds all the answers to the world, and we've been to blind to see the truth?
...Or it's just a clever pun. Either way, seagulls are evil.
And finally, we reach Les Misérables. OHMIGOD I CRIED! I cried when Éponine died, I cried when Jean Valjean died, I cried when Fantine died. I was pretty much crying the entire time. I mainly went to go see it because I was offered extra credit in World History if I go see it, and I never turn down a reason to go see a movie AND get something more out of it. BUT OHMIGOD IT MADE ME SOOO SAD! But can't have been the only person to notice that one guy who only had about one line who had the Scottish accent. I made me go, "Wait what?" He had a Scottish accent in 19-century France.
Exactly. So this is where I say goodbye for now! Á toute à l'heure!
